Old favorites, including ring toss, spin the wheel and high striker games, as well as a fun house and numerous bouncy houses return. Boardwalk amusements will be provided by a family-owned and operated amusement company that has been in business more than 30 years and is dedicated to providing a safe, friendly and fun environment. Maplewood's Got Talent for July 4th! Can you juggle? Can you sing? Do magic? Classes, schools, clubs, individuals, businesses and others are invited to showcase their talent, by kids or for kids especially welcome: morning yoga, t'ai ch'i, karate, dance school, jugglers and others! Garden State Fireworks The fireworks will again be provided by the award-winning world champion aerial fire- works display company Garden State Fireworks. Family-owned and operated since 1890, Garden State has continued to provide state-of-the-art custom-designed firework displays around the country. Enlarged fair- grounds served by four entrances. More activities and vendor areas have been added, encompassing the Civic House, and basketball and tennis courts. Age-friendly / senior-friendly There will be a complimentary golf-cart shuttle running between the fair grounds and the Civic House, which will be open to provide a quiet place to rest and offer relief from the sun. Twitter: @maplewood4th Maplewood’s annual celebration has been organized by the July Fourth Committee of the Maplewood Civic Association since 1902, when the July Fourth holiday was celebrated with a town-wide picnic, a keynote speaker, athletic contests and barbecues. The Maplewood Civic Association was organized and dedicated to a tradition of family-oriented celebrations. Volunteer for the Fourth! Community Partners Community and civic groups, local non-profit organizations, service clubs and neighborhood associations from the Maplewood and South Orange communi- ty have been invited to participate in a number of ways, from event planning, to hosting an activity on the Memorial Park fairgrounds, to staffing a tent that showcases their organization's projects. Many local organizations make this event their annual tradition, including the Maplewood Rotary, South Moun- tain YMCA, Boy Scouts Troop 5, CHS Robotics Club, South Orange Rescue Squad, and CHS Cross Country and Track teams.
