Mary Clair Sonneman is on a mission to connect children with the outdoors by helping them develop a deep and per- sonal connection with nature. Her Forest School classes are held 100% outdoors in the South Mountain Reservation (except during dangerous or extreme weather conditions), enabling children to satisfy their sense of curiosity, get plenty of exercise, sing, listen to storytelling and learn nature-based lessons. South Mountain Nature School offers caregiver and child, drop-off, and family enrichment classes for children who are 2 to 8 years old.
