TELL STORIES
THROUGH DESIGN
“
I never imagined I’d have a career
in design. I started out as an actor and
singer in New York, but looking back,
I realize I’ve been decorating spaces
since I was a little girl arranging my
Barbie house. Decor Whore began by
accident, after I hosted a party and kept
getting asked who decorated my home.
The answer was me! Well ... me, TJ
Maxx, Craigslist and a ton of creative
sourcing. For the past seven years, my
philosophy has been to make homes
look like a million bucks at a fraction
of the price. That means knowing where
to spend, where to save, what to keep,
and where to find something drop dead
fabulous! But most importantly, I want
every home to reflect the people who
live there. My job is to understand their
style and pull everything together into
something beautiful, welcoming and
uniquely theirs.”

EMBRACE
CHALLENGES
“
Many of the qualities I bring to my
dental practice were shaped by my early
experiences. I moved frequently as a
child in South Korea before immigrat
ing to the U.S. when I was 10 years old.
Learning to adapt to new surroundings
taught me to embrace challenges rather
than shy away from them. My parents
also modeled a strong work ethic, al
ways giving 100 percent to everything
they did. I began working at my moth
er’s nail salon when I was 12, where
I learned the importance of empathy,
curiosity and forming relationships.
My love of crafting further developed
my dexterity and attention to detail.
Together, these qualities have become
valuable tools in providing my patients
with thoughtful, skilled dental care in a
warm and welcoming environment.”

VALUE
RELATIONSHIPS
“
I have always been a responsible
person who follows through on whatev
er I commit to. That quality along with
persistence and patience is important
in financial advising, because success
takes time and rarely happens over
night. At the same time, I’ve learned
the importance of recognizing when
it’s time to change course and try a dif
ferent approach. Early in my career, I
had a wonderful mentor who taught
me lessons I couldn't have learned
on my own. My father was another
influence. As an attorney, he cultivated
one-on-one relationships and practiced
confidentiality. That modeled for me
the importance of getting to know my
clients, understanding their stories and
helping them navigate decisions.”
